Natural Ways to Fight Mental Fatigue

http://bit.ly/1dZz2O0

Mental fatigue is extremely hard on a person. It is even more difficult to deal with than physical fatigue. When a person has mental fatigue, they can’t think clearly and they can’t express how
they feel. It can even cause a person to feel physically fatigued and even cause illness.
If you suffer from this type of exhaustion, it could be caused by the work that you do, your family life, or a lack of good quality sleep. If you have mental stress and you need to make an important decision, it could also lead to severe depression.

How do you fight mental fatigue?

Relax your mind and you will boost your energy
If you have mental fatigue, you are probably wondering how in the world are you supposed to relax. Here are 5 tips on fighting mental fatigue naturally and helping you to establish a routine for relaxation:

* Make time for yourself.

A good way to do this is to sit in a quiet dark room and get in touch with your spiritual side. You could pray or meditate or even write your comments in a journal. Some people find it relaxing to just sit in a dark room with their eyes closed.

* Get good quality sleep.

You can still feel mentally exhausted even though you get enough sleep. However, if you do get your 8 hours of sleep every night, that will help refresh your mind and your body and will also help you deal with your day-to-day stress. When you sleep, your body repairs itself.

* Try to forget the problems that you are facing on a day-to-day basis.

Read a book, visit with your friends or family or get away for the weekend. Sometimes when you change your surroundings, you can forget the everyday stresses.

* Exercise on a regular basis.

When you exercise, your brain releases endorphins. These endorphins are what make you feel happy. You don’t need to work out or run a marathon. Just a simple 15 minute walk is all you need.

* Breathing exercises work very well also.

Just take in deep breaths through your nose, hold for 10 seconds and then release through your mouth. This will help to relieve any tension that you may be feeling.

* Make time to do things on your own.

Sometimes when we do things with other people, we have a tendency to not relax. If you like going to a museum and your spouse or friend does not like to do that, then do that yourself. You don’t be relaxed if you take someone to do something and it is not their favorite thing to do. You will be able to enjoy the experience the way you want to and not the way someone else forces you to.
Fight your mental fatigue using your own natural strategies
These are just 5 tips on fighting mental fatigue naturally. Once you start to implement some of these ideas, you will find many others that will help you. Doing these types of things on a regular basis will make you feel like a new person!

Tips to Manage Stress

Stress symptoms can affect your body, your thoughts and feelings, and your behavior. Being able to recognize common stress symptoms can give you a jump on managing them. Stress that’s left unchecked can contribute to health problems, such as high blood pressure, heart disease, obesity and diabetes.

If you’re not sure if stress is the cause or if you’ve taken steps to control your stress but your symptoms continue, see your doctor. Your doctor may want to check for other potential causes.
Also, if you have chest pain, especially if it occurs during physical activity or is accompanied by shortness of breath, sweating, dizziness, nausea, or pain radiating into your shoulder and arm, get emergency help immediately. These may be warning signs of a heart attack and not simply stress symptoms.

Listen to Music

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by a stressful situation, try taking a break and listening to relaxing classical music. Playing calm music has a positive effect on the brain and body, can lower blood pressure, and reduce cortisol, a hormone linked to stress.
We recommend cello master Yo-Yo Ma playing Bach, but if classical really isn’t your thing, try listening to ocean or nature sounds. It may sound cheesy, but they display similar relaxing effects to music.

Call a Friend

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, take a break to call a friend and talk about your problems. Good relationships with friends and loved ones are important to any healthy lifestyle, and there’s no time that this is more evident than when you’re under a lot of stress. A reassuring voice, even for a minute, can put everything in perspective.

Talk Yourself Through It

Sometimes calling a friend is not an option. If this is the case, talking calmly to yourself can be the next best thing. Don’t worry about seeming crazy—just tell yourself why you’re stressed out, what you have to do to complete the task at hand, and most importantly, that everything will be OK (trust us, it will be).

Eat Right

Stress levels and a proper diet are closely related. Unfortunately, it’s when we have the most work that we forget to eat well and resort to using sugary, fatty snack foods as a pick-me-up. Try to avoid the vending machine and plan ahead. Fruits and vegetables are always good, and fish with high levels of omega-3 fatty acids have been shown to reduce the symptoms of stress. A tuna sandwich really is brain food.

Breathe Easy

The advice “take a deep breath” may seem like a cliché, but it holds true when it comes to stress. For centuries, Buddhist monks have been conscious of deliberate breathing during meditation. For an easy three- to five-minute exercise, sit up in your chair with your feet flat on the floor and hands on top of your knees. Breathe in and out slowly and deeply, concentrating on your lungs as they expand fully in your chest. While shallow breathing causes stress, deep breathing oxygenates your blood, helps center your body, and clears your mind.

Laugh It Off

Laughter releases endorphins that improve mood and decrease levels of the stress-causing hormonescortisol and adrenaline. Laughing tricks your nervous system into making you happy. However, bursting into a fit of giggles at your desk may not be the most appropriate way to deal with stress. Our suggestion: watch some classic Monty Python skits like “The Ministry of Silly Walks.” Those Brits are so hilarious, you’ll soon be cracking up, rather than cracking up.

Try Tea

A large dose of caffeine causes a short-term spike in blood pressure and may cause your hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis to go into overdrive.  Instead of coffee or energy drinks, try green tea. It has less than half the caffeine of coffee and contains healthy antioxidants, as well as theanine, an amino acid that has a calming and soothing effect on the nervous system.

Be Mindful

While most of the tips we’ve suggested provide immediate relief, there are also many lifestyle changes that can be more effective in the long run. The concept of “mindfulness” is a large part of meditative and somatic approaches to mental health and has become en vogue in psychotherapy. From yoga and tai chi to meditation and Pilates, these systems of mindfulness incorporate physical and mental exercises that prevent stress from becoming a problem in the first place. Try joining a class—many are free to try on the first day.

Exercise (Even For a Minute)

Exercise doesn’t necessarily mean power lifting at the gym or training for a marathon. A short walk around the office or simply standing up to stretch during a break at work can offer immediate relief in a stressful situation. Getting your blood moving releases endorphins and can improve your mood almost instantaneously.

Sleep Better

Everyone knows stress can cause you to lose sleep. Unfortunately, lack of sleep is also a key cause of stress. This vicious cycle causes the brain and body to get out of whack and only gets worse with time. Make it a point to get the doctor-recommended seven to eight hours of sleep. Turn the TV off earlier, manage your time, and do your best to get into bed. It may be the most effective stress buster on our list.

Creating positive energy; why we need to do it.

http://bit.ly/1dZz2O0

So many people complain about all the things that are happening in their lives that only bring stress and pain. People like to complain a lot but never like to do anything about the issues.
If you are putting out a lot of negative energy, a lot of negative energy is what you’re getting back. When you are creating positive energy, you are setting yourself up to receive a lot of positive in return.
If you’re reading this post you have probably heard of the Law of Attraction. The Law of Attraction states that like attracts like. Again, if you are creating positive energy, lots of good things will be attracted into your life. For example, when you “wake up on the right side of the bed” you are starting your day positively, correct? Typically more good things keep happening that morning but if you aren’t intentionally keeping your thoughts positive then a negative event may find its way into your morning. Once this happens, (again, assuming you are not taking control of your thoughts at all) there is a chance that you’ll become upset which in turn will bring more negative events into that morning.
An example would be when you stub your toe, and then minutes later spill coffee on yourself, then maybe you trip, who knows. It can go on and on.
Most of the time we don’t pay much attention to it so we are equally creating positive energy and negative energy. In this case good and bad things happen and sort of balance one another out, giving us a sort of neutral energy.
Are you beginning to understand why it’s so important to keep your thoughts and energy positive?

Creating positive energy is actually pretty easy!

The biggest thing, the key to creating positive energy is simply to make the choice. “I am happy. I am stress free. I am abundant.”
I am.
Make the choice to be happy and joyful, make the choice to be prosperous. It may take time to totally understand it but once you get it, and everything in your life does a 180, it is amazing.
Now get up, say you are amazing, and mean it! Go create an abundant life for yourself!

Source: World of New 7 Wonders
http://bit.ly/1dZz2O0
Lisbon, Portugal: Announcing the 21 Official Finalists that have been voted through to the next round of the New7Wonders Cities campaign, Bernard Weber, Founder-President of New7Wonders, said the diversity of the remaining cities in contention for the “canon of 7″ is “remarkable in terms of regional geography and urban culture.” He commended all involved in the individual city campaigns, praised the voters for contributing to the success of the New7Wonders Cities initiative and challenged thought leaders to debate the future of our rapidly urbanizing world.
In alphabetical order, the 21 Official Finalists are: Bangkok, Barcelona, Beirut, Chicago, Doha, Durban, Havana, Istanbul, Kuala Lumpur, La Paz, London, Mendoza, Mexico City, Mumbai, Perth, Quito, Reykjavik, Saint Petersburg, Seoul, Shenzhen and Vigan.
Today’s announcement in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, coincides with the 7th anniversary of the Official Declaration of the man-made New7Wonders of the World — the first global vote from New7Wonders — which took place on 7/7/07. Lisbon was the host site for the 2007 Declaration, and this linking of past with present involving the number 7, which is central to the concept of Global Memory, highlights the commitment of New7Wonders to its history and precepts.

As with all New7Wonders campaigns, voting is via new7wonders.com, via the iPhone and Android apps, via the international telephone voting lines and, where available, via national SMS. The New7Wonders Cities campaign now enters its penultimate voting stage, which will run until 7 October, when the list of 21 will be reduced to 14. The 7 Official New7Wonders Cities will be revealed on 7 December 2014.

"I AM"

In the movie, “I AM”, two main questions are asked of many influential people around the globe. “What’s wrong with our world?” and “What can we do to make it better?”
This documentary was put together by the famous director of comedies, Tom Shadyac; director of films such as “Ace Ventura”, “Bruce Almighty” and “Liar Liar”. Tom Shadyac travels around the world having discussions with authors, scientists, entrepreneurs and many others after a tragic bicycle accident that left him with Post Concussion Syndrome. While affected by his injury he had some profound realizations about his life and decided to change it all, moving from a 17,000 square foot mansion to a mobile home community where he could be a part of the community and live more happily. Mr. Shadyac discovered that wealth and materialism does not equal happiness, and that there really is a lot more good in the world than most of us realize. We just have to acknowledge it and embrace it.

"Lost City" of Petra Still Has Secrets to Reveal

Literally carved directly into vibrant red, white, pink, and sandstone cliff faces, the prehistoric Jordanian city of Petra was "lost" to the Western world for hundreds of years.
Located amid rugged desert canyons and mountains in what is now the southwestern corner of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Petra was once a thriving trading center and the capital of the Nabataean empire between 400 B.C. and A.D. 106.
The city sat empty and in near ruin for centuries. Only in the early 1800s did a European traveler disguise himself in Bedouin costume and infiltrate the mysterious locale.
In 1985, the Petra Archaeological Park was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site, and in 2007 it was named one of the new seven wonders of the world.
Indiana Jones Location
Several scenes from the Hollywood blockbuster Indiana Jones and the Last Crusadewere filmed in Petra. The movie's fictional Canyon of the Crescent Moon was modeled on the eastern entrance to Petra, a 250-foot-high (76-meter-high) sandstone slot canyon known as the Siq that leads directly to Al Khazneh (the Treasury)—perhaps the most stunning of Petra's dozens of breathtaking features.
In the film's climactic final scenes, actors Harrison Ford and Sean Connery burst forth from the Siq and walk deep into the labyrinths of the Treasury in their quest to find the Holy Grail. But, as usual, archaeological fact bowed to Hollywood fiction when Indy came to Petra.
In reality, the Treasury is nothing more than a facade with a relatively small hall once used as a royal tomb.
"You can't really say that anything in Indiana Jones is accurate," Haifa University archaeologist Ronny Reich said. "I was once asked in the United States if one of the responsibilities of Israeli archaeologists is to chase down Nazis. I told them, 'Not any more. Now we just chase down pretty women.'"
A giant urn carved above the entrance to the Treasury bears the marks of hundreds of gunshots. Bedouin tribesmen living in and among the ancient ruins say the damage was caused when local men would open fire with rifles, seeking the loot thought to be inside the urn (actually made of solid stone).
There are dozens of tombs and other carved or constructed structures and sites within Petra.
Advanced Society
The Nabataeans, before they were conquered and absorbed into the Roman Empire, controlled a vast tract of the Middle East from modern-day Israel and Jordan into the northern Arabian peninsula. The remains of their innovative networks of water capture, storage, transport, and irrigation systems are found to this day throughout this area.
Scholars know the Nabataeans were in Petra since at least 312 B.C., says archaeologist Zeidoun Al-Muheisen of Jordan's Yarmouk University.
Al-Muheisen, who has been excavating in Petra since 1979 and specializes in the Nabataean period, says no one has yet found any archaeological evidence dating back to the fourth century B.C. The earliest findings thus far date back only to the second and first centuries B.C.
But more clues remain beneath the surface. "We have uncovered just 15 percent of the city," he says. "The vast majority—85 percent—is still underground and untouched."
Numerous scrolls in Greek and dating to the Byzantine period were discovered in an excavated church near the Winged Lion Temple in Petra in December 1993.
Researchers at the American Center of Oriental Research in Amman, the capital, are now analyzing the scrolls and hope they will shed light on life in Petra during this period.
Once Rome formally took possession of Petra in A.D. 106, its importance in international trade began to wane. The decay of the city continued, aided by earthquakes and the rise in importance of sea trade routes, and Petra reached its nadir near the close of the Byzantine Empire's rule, around A.D. 700.
Visitors today can see varying blends of Nabataean and Greco-Roman architectural styles in the city's tombs, many of which were looted by thieves and their treasures thus lost.
Today, local Bedouins selling tourist souvenirs hawk their wares not far from the place where Arabs believe Moses struck a rock with his staff, causing water to burst forth: "A knife for the wife? A gun for the son?"

Aogashima Island – Living inside a Volcano

Can you imagine yourself living in a giant volcanic crater? Well, for starters, you can forget about Starbucks. But it sure would be the ultimate destination to get away from it all. It’s not all that surprising then, that about 200 people actually inhabit the Japanese volcanic island of Aogashima, with only one school and a single post office.

Aogashima, a part of the Izu Archipelago, lies two hundred miles south of Tokyo, in the Philippine Sea. The island and its 205 inhabitants (as of 2009), are a part of Japan and governed by Tokyo. The island is quite well known for having a volcanic caldera within a larger caldera. So what you have is one big, giant crater, which is the island itself, inside which is nestled a much smaller version of itself. This gives the whole island a rather mysterious appeal, almost like something out of a fantasy movie. It’s hard to believe there are such places still left in the world, untouched by noisy human activity.

The entire population of Aogashima lives on a small part of the island. This is where most of the amenities are located, such as a general store and a helipad. While it’s unrealistic to expect a great night life or gourmet food options in a place as remote as this, Aogashima isn’t totally devoid of activities to pursue. For starters, it is a great place to relax and unwind, basking in all the serenity. Scuba diving is a popular activity in the intensely blue waters. You could also consider hiking and camping by the volcano, or visiting the volcanic hot springs. In the very center of the island is a geothermal sauna. The main volcano has scalding hot steam vents around one side, which are used to power the public sauna – a perfect way to relax after a long day of hiking. You can even cook food at the steam vents, in the pots available outside the sauna to steam your goodies. Accessibility options to and from the island aren’t too great:, as it can only be reached by ferry and by helicopter. Once you’re on the island, you have access to a 24/7 live feed of the harbor, so that you can keep an eye on the weather before venturing out.

If you are planning on visiting Aogashima , you might want to know that it is actually an active volcano. The last massive eruption was over 200 years ago, in 1785. 140 people are said to have died back then, and since it has been a while, the volcano might be in store for another eruption sometime soon. If you’re not the kind to take risks, you might as well sit back and enjoy breathtaking pictures of this amazing beauty of an island. I’ll leave you to it.

The Secret

Inspired by the Japanese drama Himitsu (which was in turn based on the novel by author Keigo Higashino), director Vincent Perez's supernatural drama tells the tale of a mother who discovers some shocking secrets about her teenage daughter after being killed in a tragic car accident and seeing her soul inexplicably transplanted into the body of the troubled young girl. Benjamin (David Duchovny) and Hannah (Lili Taylor) are happily married soul mates, yet neither parent realizes that theiradolescent daughter Sam (Olivia Thirlby) is leading a desperate double life. One day, seemingly out of the blue, Benjamin and Sam find their lives changed forever when Hannah is killed in a violent car accident. But at the moment of death, Hannah's soul is somehow propelled into Sam's body, giving the mother a chance to know her beautiful daughter more intimately than she ever did in life. Unfortunately the things that Hannah discovers about Sam are deeply disturbing; Sam has been leading a secret life - a life that neither Hannah nor Benjamin ever knew anything about. Meanwhile, back at home, Hannah and her grieving husband receive one last chance to rekindle their romance and say their last goodbyes. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Step Up 2 the Streets (2008)

Jon Chu directs this feel-good sequel about pursuing what you love and finding yourself along the way. Andie (Briana Evigan, daughter of actor Greg Evigan) is a tough Baltimore teen who grew up dancing and is now part of the 410, the hottest dance crew in the city and reigning champions of the Streets, an underground dance competition. Unable to control Andie's rebellious ways, her guardian, Sarah (Sonja Sohn), has decided to send her to Texas to live with her aunt. But Andie has one last chance to stay with her crew in her beloved Baltimore: the Maryland School of the Arts (MSA). Unfortunately, maintaining her studies at MSA means less time with the 410. To make matters worse, Andie is having a hard time fitting in at her new high school, where tradition is revered and being outside the box is frowned upon. Luckily, she has a partner in crime in classmate Chase Collins (Robert Hoffman), whose stuffy brother, Blake (Will Kemp), is the school's director and a constant thorn in his younger brother's side. When the 410 boots Andie out, she and Chase find their own crew of overlooked MSA dancers and take it all the way to the Streets.

The real star of STEP UP 2: THE STREETS is the amazing dancing and there's plenty of it. From the opening scene in a Baltimore subway to the playground to studio rehearsals to the Streets, these kids give it everything they've got. Channing Tatum briefly reprises his role as Tyler Gage, who knows Andie from the neighborhood. All of the MSA and 410 dancers are exceedingly talented, but Mari Koda's few lines as Jenny Kido are scene-stealers.

I always hear this saying that, "If you born Poor, it's not your mistake. But if you die Poor it's your mistake". This is really true because we are equipped by God with capacities and talents which could be developed and used for opportunities that might come our ways.

It's up to a person how willingly he will adapt to any innovation or change that will lead to the overall personality development that can contribute to success. Failure or mistakes are part of growing up. What is important is you never quit and don't stop until the result you want is right in front of you. IT'S BETTER TO TRY AND FAIL THAN FAIL TO TRY!

IT'S NOT GOOD TO DIE POOR WHEREIN OPPORTUNITIES ARE ALWAYS THERE AND IT'S A LOT BETTER TO BE BORN POOR AND TO GRAB OPPORTUNITIES WHEN THEY COME YOUR WAYS.

AIM GLOBAL is one of the opportunities we can grab to change the things we want and not to Die Poor.
